Jewel Box Muffins

Yields: 24 muffins
Ingredients:
1 pkg. Muffin Mix (any flavor)
Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on the muffin mix box
Betty Crocker® Blueberry Muffin Glaze
vanilla, chocolate and blueberry flavors
Betty Crocker® Cookie Icing various colors
Betty Crocker® Decorating Decors
1 7" piece Red Licorice Pull n' peel or licorice Laces
Betty Crocker® Cupcake Gems Perfect Pearls
Instructions:
1. Follow directions on the package of the muffin mix to bake muffins. Cool completely.
2. Once muffins have cooled, slice the domes off and frost them with Betty Crocker Cookie Icing, decorating as desired. These will be the lids of the jewel boxes. Allow tops to dry while decorating the inside of the muffins. Drizzle the bases with Betty Crocker muffin glaze, spreading glaze to cover the surface completely.
3. For necklaces and charm bracelets: Pipe Betty Crocker Blueberry or Chocolate Muffin Glaze in a circle on the surface to create the chain. Decorate with as desired with Decor pieces to create jewels/charms.
4. For Rings: Snip 1 1/2" segments of pull and peel. Bend them in half and insert into the cupcake to create the ring bands. Decorate the tops with a dot of Betty Crocker Cookie Icing and assorted Betty Crocker Decors, including pearls to create gems on the rings.
5. To serve, rest a decorated lid next to each muffin jewel box.
If desired, bake half the muffin batch as Mini Muffins and decorate all as small jewel boxes.
