Striped Snowmen Cookie Recipes

Yields: 12 Servings

Ingredients:

1 pouch Betty Crocker® Sugar Cookie Mix
1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 egg
1 tbsp all purpose flour
1 tube Betty Crocker® Red and White Striped Icing
1 pouch Betty Crocker® White Cookie Icing
1 tube Betty Crocker® Black Gel
1 box Betty Crocker® Classic Colors Writing Icing
Betty Crocker® Decors of your choice

Instructions:

1. Heat oven to 375°F (or 350°F for dark or nonstick cookie sheet).

2. Stir cookie mix, butter, flour and egg in medium bowl until soft dough forms.

3. Roll dough on floured surface until ¼ inch tick. Cut with snowman cookie cutter and place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

4. Bake 7 to 9 minutes or until edges are light golden brown. Cool 1 minute before removing from cookie sheet. Cool completely before decorating.

5. Using the Writing Icing color of your choice, pipe the hats onto the snowmen.

6. Use the White Cookie Icing to cover the rest of the snowmen’s bodies. Allow icing to set for 30 minutes before continuing decorating.

7. Using the Red and White Striped Icing, pipe scarves onto the snowmen.

8. Use desired Writing Icings, Black Gel, and Decors to complete snowmen’s faces and buttons.

9. Allow cookies to dry uncovered for 4 hours before stacking or storing.
