Patriotic Star Cut Out Cakes

Yields: 1 Dozen

Ingredients:

1 box of Betty Crocker Vanilla Cake Mix
Cake Mate Red Glitter Icing
Cake Mate Blue Glitter Icing
Cake Mate White Bakery Icing
Star-shaped cookie cutter
Cake Mate Star Sprinkles

Instructions:

1. Bake Betty Crocker Vanilla Cake Mix as directed on the back of the box.  Use a 13 x 8 sheet cake pan.

2. Once the cake cools, wrap the cake with saran wrap and place in the freezer for 3 hours for best results.  Doing this will make sure your cake will not fall apart when cutting it with a cookie cutter.

3. Using your cookie cutter, cut out star-shaped cakes.

4. Set each star cake on a piece of parchment paper.

5. Insert a star tip directly on your pouch of Cake Mate Glitter Icing or Bakery Icing.

6. Using a steady hand, guide your icing in the shape of a star.

7. Sprinkle Cake Mate Star Sprinkles on each cake.

8. You can serve these on a single stack, double stack, or triple stack.
